Adrian Uribe Fort Worth Concert reviews
Nice Concert, Overall
After the concert, rather walk around the entire block, we couldn't go back inside the MacArthur Center to get back to the parking garage. The venue, the NorVa, was pretty nice, but it's a bit of a walk from the parking spot to the building since I had to park inside the garage and parking was inconvenient. Not to mention unsafe, again, extremely inconvenient!
I'm glad however that I finally saw Musiq in concert. Nice experience, nice evening out!
It was really nice seeing Adrian Uribe after listening to his albums for 11 years, including the newest "MusiqintheMagiq." I felt in some ways he just spat the songs out, the reason I didn't give the concert a full five stars. Most of his songs are catchy, but its the lyrics that are powerful, and in a few songs, he could have actually put some more feeling--it being a live concert. I would imagine that after years and years and tons of concerts, he has a huge fan base singing his songs word for word, which is probably why he chose to do so many songs from his new album, but at the same time, his fans may have never been to his concerts. So I was a bit disappointed in that sense. The last thing he said was he would be giving autographs and photos after the concert. Me, not that much of a concert goer, didn't realize that meant he was charging $25 per photo, and they weren't even being done with a professional camera/equipment. Tacky and disgusting.
The other issue was the sound system. It just wasn't balanced properly.
